ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- He's back.

The tumbleweed snowman has made his annual appearance along I-40 near Carlisle. The snowman is put together by the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority.

He's made of mostly recycled materials and tumbleweeds the authority collects from the arroyos, but there is at least one part that's new for this year's snowman.

"This year, we have a new scarf made by one of our employee's mother in law, so that's the only new item we have this year," said Jeff Willis, a real estate manager with AFAFCA. But it is a handmade knitted or crochet scarf."

The tumbleweed snowman's little brother will make an appearance at the Twinkle Light Parade this Saturday.
